Forum rules

1. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning (see policing below).

2. Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.

3. Members are asked to not act as "back seat moderators". If members note an issue which contravenes something in this policy document they are welcome to bring it to the attention of a member of the Moderator Team. Only do this if a moderator team member has not replied within 6 hours. Do not respond to such topics yourself. Members who consistenly "act" as moderators may be warned.

4. Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.

5. Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, etc. or re-printing material without permision will receive a warning and their post will be removed.

6. Members should respect the bandwidth of other users and sites. The use of inline ([IMG][/IMG]) image tags pointing to data stored on third party systems for which the user has not received permission to link to may be removed.

7. Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.

8. Members should use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic.

9. NO ADVERTISING/SPAM or SOLICITATION. Do not use this site as a redirector or gateway to another site for the purpose of collecting click income or advertising. Although there are times when a link to another site is necessary for helping or answering a question, this site reserves the right to determine what is and is not SPAM. Any SPAM will be immediately deleted and the user warned. Likewise, this is not your personal "for sale" board to advertise items. There are other sites out there that will allow you to sell your items

10. The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users.

11. The site's private message service is provided to encourage communication amongst community members. Members may list their personal email addresses for the same reason. However, neither the private message system nor the email addresses provided by members may be used for any illegal purpose (including promotion of piracy of copyrighted material or solicitation of minors!). In addition, the private message system and member email addresses may not be used to recruit community members to other sites, or used in a detrimental way against this site and/or it’s owner, administrators or moderators. Users may not use the private message system to communicate on behalf of banned users. Users found to be using private messages and/or email addresses posted by members of the site for an impermissible purpose will be suspended and/or banned from the site and if necessary their details passed to any relevant law enforcement agency if requested. The administrators reserve the right to suspend private messaging rights to any user it suspects of abusing the system.

12. As a general rule, private messages are private, and they are not read by the site administrator. However, if we receive a report, or suspect that the private message system is being used for a purpose that is prohibited by Section 11, we will investigate by reviewing the private message(s) in question

13. As a user you agree to any information you have entered being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent (unless required to do so by a relevant law enforcement agency) the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.

14. This forum system uses cookies to store information on your local computer. These cookies do not contain any of the information you have entered above; they serve only to improve your viewing pleasure. The e-mail address is used only for confirming your registration details and password, for sending new passwords should you forget your current one and for sending newsletters (unless you have opted not to receive them).

The site welcomes all non-discriminatory opinions, including constructive criticism of the site. While this means that feedback is welcome, it does not mean that it is appropriate to harass or abuse moderators or site administrators, or make overtly hostile posts
